Right now, around 30% of working-age people in Bolton are economically inactive. Whilst we support many local residents to move closer to work—and into work— too often, people are falling out of employment within 12 months. Working with partners with decades of experience, Hope to Hire is a new 10 year initiative to support more people in Bolton into lasting employment.
Adding ESG Value to Your Work
Will you consider how you can strengthen your commercial business by partnering with Third Space Bolton, a local social enterprise marking ten years of supporting people facing barriers into employment. Aligning services with Third Space Bolton, contractors can add measurable social impact to bids, demonstrate ESG value, and contribute directly to sustained local employment outcomes.

Sponsors are vital to demonstrate local backing which will help us unlock substantial investment from national funders and impact investors who prioritise proven, community-led employment solutions. The redevelopment of the Sally Up Steps building provides a physical anchor for this vision—a place where supported pathways into work can be delivered at scale.
