Hi, I’m Mark Cowling, founder of Third Space Bolton.

This year we’re celebrating 10 years of providing supported work opportunities for people facing some of the toughest barriers to getting into employment.

I’d like to ask for your help.

Right now, around 30% of working-age people in Bolton are economically inactive. At Third Space, we support many local residents to move closer to work—and into work—but too often, people are still falling out of employment within 12 months.

That’s why we’re inviting you to Hope to Hire on evening of 2 July —an inspiring evening exploring how social enterprise can create opportunities for paid employment that transforms lives.

We’ll also be sharing our vision to bring a well-known building on the Chorley Old Road in Halliwell back into use as a community and social enterprise hub—supporting more people in Bolton into lasting employment.

The event is free, includes food, and will be hosted by comedian Tony Vino, bringing energy and humour to what promises to be a really special evening.
